I don't know what that is to the far right,it doesn't show up until i scanned it!!
But the mm i saw from across my desk!
The coin itself looks kinda creepy to me...lol

No. That is where the plating was split during the strike exposing the zinc underneath. After the zinc starts reacting with the air, the area will start to raise, then fall and even worse.

I found a good example of a reverse that has the same thing happening on the right edge of the Memorial. I just don't have an image yet.
