The pics don't tell me much right now. They seem to pixelated to determine if this is a doubled die.

65 is not a big year for DDOs, it had horrible quality so you might find a lot of coins from worn dies.

If you have a bunch of cents try sorting them by year and MM then search one year at a time. That way you see whats normal or not normal for that year when searching and it helps you by letting you look at what is known for that year as you search. Even after you look keep the solid year groups together. As you get better at searching you can re-check and often find something you missed on the first look.
Try looking for the known ones and putting anything else aside for a closer look.

To look at each year try:

Use the die search and search the listings for that year:
http://coppercoins.com/advsearch.php

Use the date guide but it might not show everything you would see if you use the search (it's easier but less complete):
http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/date.php

Use Conecas listings, it has no pics but you can focus on the areas (PUPs/pick up points) they mention and it has a seperate section for RPM and DDOs and also for other denominations:
http://hermes.csd.net/~coneca/variety_listings.html

Don't give up! If you keep looking you'll find something good. When you find something good it will tune your focus and motivation so after you find something good it's likely you will soon find other good ones. Smile

I haven't seen a site that lists them all like a coppercoins for other denominations. I'm sure there are some good sites though.

There WILL be a site like coppercoins for all denominations, it just has not yet been developed. I have the name and the plan.

As far as a site for quarter varieties, the only one I know that has a decent listing is Jose Cortez's site at http://dbldeye.tripod.com/.
He hasn't worked it for a few years but I used to use his site as a reference about 10 yrs ago. I just checked it out and it still has a lot of listings. If you're into quarters, you might find it helpful.

I like Eagames advice. It's true about getting familiar with a year at a time. After you look at a million cents (probably an exaggeration but seems like it sometimes) the slightest deviation jumps right out at you. You also develop a blind eye to dirt, scum, dings, scratches too.

"There WILL be a site like coppercoins for all denominations, it just has not yet been developed. I have the name and the plan."

wow, that's pretty ambitious and of course I'm with everyone else in being eager to see it unfold and published. Chuck, if you approach all your projects with the same dedication and thouroughness as you have with CC then I wouldn't be surprised if your sites became the most influential on the internet or maybe anywhere.
