I just was able to look at my first log splitter Lincoln cent and while the design is pleasing to the eye, there are signs of major problems with the die itself.
The example I was able to analysis had a combination of 12 die cracks and/or chips and this was an EDS die. The two areas that will be prone to problems are the "ONE CENT" and Lincoln's boots.
The other example that was sent to me had 6 die anomalies, one very substantial. It was a die crack with die chips that had started in the mallets head and had worked its way to the rim. This die was EMDS. It also had die cracks in the "ONE CENT" and Lincoln's boots.
This may be a fun reverse for those who are into die cracks and chips from the looks of things and I suspect the log will produce many log end to rim die cracks.
I just wonder if the MINT produced enough reverse dies?

That is the normal EBay junk and it looks like someone fell for it.

I don't know about people niot liking coin collecting, but sellers that have no scruples about taking advantage of a situation, like he is doing, it makes for "no buying on ebay" thoughts.

They think it's an investment but the mintage and number of rolls hoarded is so big it's not going to make them rich. I bet those rolls sell cheap in the future.
LOL.... you did not hear of anyone hoarding 2008 cents? The ones they ignore do the best.

I don't know, but the whole thing is redidulus! Now I know I'll go for the IIHC cents. At least the mint is not going to get filthy rich on the sales to the public, and collectors, or ex-collectors!

I started last year putting back a box cents. I got a box of 2008p and 2008D. I wanted to get a box from each mintmark this year but i refuse to pay such high premiums

I have a box of the 2007-d, and two, or three of the 2008, ( only because my siblings gave me 8 boxes of cents for my birthday. I had asked them to bring a box of cents from AZ and I would pay them for their effort. When they were getting ready to return to AZ, they handed me the $200.00, and said "Happy Birthday"! I had boxes of cents from So. CA. It turned out some were solid date boxes. I don't need, or want more than one box, (and that is really a lot more than needed,. but a box is a box). my thought was to get a box of each reverse, and just hold them for my un-bon GR-GR-Grandson. But that was not to be, it seems. Oh well, I guess he will appreciate the wheats, just as well.
