Rock, from my view point, the line is too straight, or even is "bent" the weong way to be a clid, and the "teeth-marks" indicate the attempt to "bite" off another piece, to make it a double clip. IMHO, is is post mint.

You might try CCF, too. They have some pretty good opinions. Or, you could try CONECA. Mike Diamond, could give you an answer, with weight.

I think what Dick said is the best clue, that other snip makes me say it was snipped. Someone definitely was going at it with snippers.

lol. he must have been, thats for sure. I've actually pull out several coins that look like someone dragged a knife across them. A shame but what can you do? Now if the above coin was a key date then I would be a little more bothered. Thankfully it was just a common date.
