Was separating a few of my wheat cents and just happened to pick up this 1926 linc and flip it over. I have no clue what it is and was wondering what everyone else thinks. The "cracks" appear to be lamination issues but the thing up between the "E" and the "P" looks like a digit to me. I'm probably wrong but im very curious if this is just displaced metal or something else. It is fully raised like the surrounding design as well.

Looks like we both have had some luck! Mine is a 1936-S, on the OBV. I'll post a picture of it, after I finish the other post, BTW it is a big lamination.
Check it out:

It sure didn't show the way it looks in hand! maybe next time.

Lamination - the metal had stuff in it when the sheets were made, and the piece peeled off when the coin was made. It's an error, but a very common one worth little if any premium value.

Are you thinking about the thing that looks like a "1"?
I think it's part of the lamination defect but it does look like a dropped digit (probably by chance).

As Chuck stated, this is only a lamination peel. The part you are seeing that looks like a digit or letter is a folded over and retained portion of the lamination.

Especially since the '1' would have a top serif, and there are no serifs on the '1' digits on Lincoln cents.
