Hi Ed
I thought the mint said they wanted to release the first cent on Lincoln's Birthday or 2/12. That was the only date in the article that i saw. I wonder if the presses were not running because there changing designs already. I wonder how long of a delay they are speaking of.

I suspect we will be klucky, if we are able to get the new cents, by NEXT year! Things are not good. When the people are "cashing in" all the stuff that has accumulated over the year(s) from everywhere, it is a bad sign. People aren't stashing, they are cashing! We collectors may benefit by this, due to some errors, and varieties, not previously seen, and therefor unknown, will be coming into circulation. Be patient, and keep your fingers crossed!

I wouldn't generally expect to see new cents in change until the end of March to the beginning of April. With the collapse of the economy we've seen of late, it could easily be June before the new cents come out in circulation. Who knows what this could do to mintage numbers and possible extra value for low mintage issues.

Chuck, Hi! You have that right! I was wondering how much effect it would have, and from the DOW, and everything else, it could be that late. We haven't seen "hide, nor hair", of any out our way! We did send you some more nice cool weather, LOL.

Cents here are all the circulated crap. I was only able to get a few rolls of 2008-D Cents once all year. They were the see through rolls and some of them had some peppered circulated cents mixed in. I only found one Cent that looked interesting. It had a large gouge/dent on the out rim. That was the only one like it so far from what I have opened.

Coop, I was kust lookimng for the boxes I have. There are about 15 boxes, that haven't been gone thru. I know for sure that there are at least one box of BU single date rolls of '06, '07', and maybe two of '08. Some are boxes my Bro., and Sisters brought over for my birthday that year. I have since gotten more boxes. One of these days, I might go thru a roll. I'm not sure I could make it thru 50 rolls of a single date, (Unless I found a bunch of trails, or some errors). You can see that I have been "away from searching" for a while. I'm waiting for the '09 to show. Then I'll find a way to get a box or each reverse, and each mint., (P, & D). Those I'll save for my Great-Great Grand-son/daughter. Maybe one of them will be a coin collector! One thing for sure. they will have a few boxes, (un-opened, other than to verify the type of coins).
