Hello everyone
i am new to this board but the other day i was going through some coins and found this 1972 that the complete rev is doubled.all letters and bulding.i do have pics on another site but don't know how to transfer pics here .www.uscoincollecting my book shows 9 diffrent verities but none on rev? do you know if this is a error or veritie? i was told by a op it is a new find in error. what do you think.

John: So far on the site there are no DDR listed for 1972 P, D or S. I haven't heard of any yet, but they could be possible. Could you post the images here. All you need is the address line from the box or a HTML tag and just post it in your message. You can check it on the preview box to see if it works before you submit it to the site. Looking forward to seeing your images.

Very, very high likelihood that you have common machine doubling. A doubled die on the reverse of a 1972 cent would have to be quite strong to be noticeable, which is why none have been reported to date. The reverse used that year was worn out and in need of replacement, not very conducive to spotting them as doubled dies.
