As of 01 August we will be performing site maintenance and will be moving the site to another server on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The forum will be closed during that period of time to ensure we do not lose any members or posts.

This scheduled outage is a reaction to the hard crash the site had a couple of weeks ago. We found out during that time that the backups I had been paying to have performed were empty and always had been...in other words, we never had a good backup of the site and found out the hard way.

On the 5th of August the forum should reopen without flaws and will be ready to use once again.

Also during the outage the chat, Talk Cents, will be intermittent in functionality, as will be many other parts of the site, because they have to do with the database, which will be backed up prior to and after a move to the new server.

As for your links, favorites, and other methods of keeping coppercoins site addresses, they will all remain the same and should work without flaw as of the 5th.

Sorry for the inconvenience in advance, but we cannot stick around a server that doesn't take good backups. We have been bitten in the rear too many times by this inconsistent service and feel it is in the better interest of the site and those who use it to move it to a better service.
