Wow...great find! That's a monster all right! It's the 1894/1894--a highly collectible RPD. Snow's IHC RedBook prices these at G4: $30, VG8: $40, F12: $65
Here's a MS (EDS) coin to see more of the spread between the two dates (I wish it were mine)

I wonder where you got those numbers? I have a listing, but they don't correspond. Maybe mine is not the correct one. Mine came from his pricing listing. maybe it is the "selling" price that is given.

Dick,
I got those figures from the 2007 Red Book on Flying Eagle and Indian Head cents. Rick Snow's "price guide" on his site starts at VF20--and the 1894 S-1 is noticeably higher than the RB:
VF20: $175 VF30: $250 XF40: $325 XF45: $400 AU50: $700 AU55: $850 AU58: $1,000

I have that in front, (well it was for the last few days, while running thru about a dozen rolls of IHC, looking for RPD's). While there, I went price-checking". That brought up the "where". I have yet another pricelist/or list of values. I don't recall where I got it, but if was tied with the site, so it could be a "private listing". It fits between the two, mentioned here, today.
My search from 99, 98, and 97 proved to be totally fruitless. Not one RPD. There are about 3 rolls left in the grouping in that decade.
Happy thanksgiving Day to you and yours, and this goes to all members, and guests, as well.
That is about all we can be thankful for, this year!
Dick

What a really nice coin to find that you had all along. I have seen some of them sell for nice premiums. You should be stoked!
