Bob, can you give me a link to CONECA's images, and numbers for FE/IHC? I have surfed the site, but without success. I checked VV, but no IHC mentioned, or any listing for those listed on the site. Can you Help? Rick's giudes are very complete, but there areas w/o photos, that leave one with only a FS, or CONECA number, or one other, who I don't recall. Could be Crawford, or Wexler. my memory is sooooo short! Thabnks for any help you might be able to provide. meantime, it is back th my Lincolns.

Dick,
CONECA does not have images posted anwhere for those type coins that I am aware of. I am not aware of any public printing that would show anything of theirs that is not listed presently on Variety Vista. When and if that ever changes, we can only guess right now. Sorry...

Bob,. thank you for checking. I have all kinds of cross-references, but they are meaningless, if one doesn't have an image to go with one of them. while it does work with the lincoln cents, the IHC are another thing.
Not that you don't have enough work, as it is, but it would sure be a blessing, if we had a "gallery, where we could post our images, and the pertenant info, so one could check the date, and RPD/MPD, as well as DDO/DDR. Images of the latter are as scarce as 'hens teeth"! Most, if not all would be with the Snow number to indicate the variety. No doubt, a bigger server would be necessary, but we could help.

We were going to list all coppercoins at one time Dick...including IHC and FE cents. Maybe that will still happen some day.
The problem with a gallery is that it will soon become a a hodge podge of images with no means of properly viewing all of them in any particular order. Of course, I am not the computer whiz here...that is something that Chuck would have to evaluate.

Good Morning Bob, I have been thinking of your reply, and have an idea: Do we, or maybe i should ask can we post a link to our own "gallery od images? That way it would provide the "limited", for sure" amount of images, and info in that respect, but it would be available to others. It wouldn't take up valuable space, nor time on the site. Tes, there would be a lot of duplicity, but by the same token collectively, it would be possible to "lift images of all, some here, others there, until a fairly complete set of varieties for each date would be collected. Then the onfo would be available. It would mean a lot of work, by each one who has FE/IHC interests, to view the images in question, and tell which one they have. This idea has been one of my "pet projects", ever since I got interested in IHC. We have the same thing here, except, this site is very complete in it's coverage, wheras my idea would show the single image, with identification, by Snow number. In the case of those that are so close, it would be difficult to say which is which, , (and there are a few of them), an overlay could be made to show the correct one. If I had more of an idea as to what it would take, I wouls send out the word, to everyone, that I need an imafge of a certain date, and variety number. Then who ever has one could post, or email, and I wouls put it in place, in order. Then after all the available varieties, and dates were collected, put in order, and the missing ones determined, I could go to the one who could provide the missing images. once done, I would list everything by order, and variety. Yow ask for an image of 1896, Snow-21, and I could post it. If it be one of those "few' that are so much alke, then overlays could be made to make the final determination. ONe huge amount of work, but it would be well worth it. Any ideas? I have a lot of time, little expertice, but a lot of friends, who together, we might just get it done!

I have no problems whatsoever with that suggestion Dick. I think it is a very good idea. There is nothing wrong with listing a link to where the photos could be viewed by anyone wanting to see them. Just a word of caution though...I wouldn't necessarily make it available for general public viewing because of some unscrupulous folks out there. If the site where your photos are to be stored can be password protected then that should be the way to go. If someone wants to view it, they can private message or email you for a password. Of course that is only a suggestion.

Bib, thanks for the suggestions. I had not considered that aspect, but yes, there are those types, unfortunately. Tghe best option at this point would be thru PM, or email. I ikagine PM, would be the best. of course we are talking about just a date, or two, and some of the varieties that might be in question. No one wouls expect to see the "whole shebang", all at once!
As fgar as a password, I doubt that I would go that far. I might want to view it myself, and not remembering the password, would leave me up the 'proverbial creek"! Lte me kick it around, and maybe ask you a few questions along that line. maybe I can come up with some solution of sorts. I have tried several times to get some of the same images thru Fly-in Club, but to no avail.
