I was wondering if there was an arrogant edge to this guy by the way he skated. Evgeni Plushenko, who took Silver to the US skater Evan Lysacek has awarded himself an Olympic Platinum medal.
Here is his website. Click the Enter button and there are a number of comments at the bottom that are kind of funny. Can anyone read Russian and translate some of those?

The post with all the exclamation points says, in brief:
We together as a country are appalled at the refereeing and the general attitude toward Russians at the olympics, and to our officials who are cowards for not protecting the interests of our athletes. Know that you are supported and that your validity as a skater will triumph over all! Know also that your whole country is behind you in support. Struggle to the end and in turn we shall always support you! Success to you!

The rest of the posts generally translate to about the same...that he was the best, he was the winner, and he was cheated, and the Russian officials did nothing to ensure he got the medal. Blah, blah, blah...basic stuff, licking wounds, whatever.
I personally didn't watch any of it nor do I really have an opinion to share about the competition. Sounds like a sore loser to me with an ego as big as Russia.
