I will be there, set up at table 131. If anyone happens to see this and stops by the show, come pay me a visit.

Well, the show was actually abysmal. Most major shows I have attended generally bring in at least 1,500-2,000 people from the public. This one brought in MAYBE 200. Most of the dealers packed and left Friday afternoon, and by Saturday at noon there were fewer than a dozen dealers out of nearly 400 tables left.I packed up and left at 2:30PM and the show was scheduled to run until 6PM. Sticking around would have been a complete waste of time. Almost all of the dealer to dealer business was completed by Thursday afternoon.
On the flip side, Whitman did a good job of welcoming the dealers in with a full social with free food and drinks at a bar/restaurant. The connections and networking were great - many of the major dealers were there. I doubt, however, this will happen again in Nashville. Most said they would never return. Overall it was a pretty big belly flop.

Combine all the damage from the flooding, and,,the damage to the economy,by the last24 months, or more, and you have a pretty good idea as to the why. like Mike says, maybe it will be better next year. BUT, remember, the floods come every year,so don't make any commitments just yet!
