The "Coinflation" website has a function that calculates the metal content of coins (U.S. and Canadian) . For example, here http://www.coinflation.com/coins/basemetal_coin_calculator.html you can calculate the copper value of Lincoln cents. If you have 112 pre-1982 cents, select that in the drop box and type in "1.12" in the "coin dollar total" box (face value in dollars) and you will see the copper value. They seem to update the spot value of copper daily so the numbers are "always" correct. They have a silver calculator and a gold calculator too.
I thought this might be handy for those who work with various coins.
