This looks like a pretty severe die crack/break but the area is higher than the rest of the coin giving a Lamination look.What are your thoughts.It's a PMDD 1955.

Die crack/chip.break. Getting strong with each coin struck after yours.

Hi Coop,I found another 1 in this roll that the crack/chip/break is just starting.Definitely used those dies to the max as the wheat lines are barely seen on this coin and worse on the coin pictured.Real mushy strike from well overused dies.

I found in a roll of OBW cents a die progression of the reverse of the Memorial Cents. I put them into a GIF image to show the progression:

I didn't believe there were tremites in concrete, but there is one, and hard at work!
