In Chuck's book on page 149 he refers to an RPM where the D is punched below Lincoln's lapel at the rim. I was wondering if anyone had a picture of one I could use for reference in searching 1952 D's.

Thanks Chuck. The die gouges under the 1 should be an easy mark to look for. In Wile's RPM book they describe it as a die gouge under the lapel. Have they not updated the description or do they disagree this is a D ?

I don't know what Wiles thinks about it - I agree with John Bordner that it's an additional D punch, and that they are difficult to find. Out of nearly ten years having known about them and searched for them, I have been through about 500 1952D cents. I have found two of these and five of the OMM...makes the OMM easier to locate in my experience.
