How come the only state in the union that get the time warp thing fixed is Arizona? Why do we have to "bounce" back and forth through time twice a year. As you may notice, this is a pet peeve of mine. If daylight savings time is so great, use it all year long. No need to throw my system out-of-whack for weeks.

You asked, and I'll tell you MY opinion, (of course, I am predujiced)!
In AZ, we do NOT believe in setting the clock to a time, and "PRETEND" it is some other time!
This stupid procedure, cost me very heavily, and I will never forget it!

It is a thing that has cost many people, in one way, or another. putting it bluntly, it cost me half of my Navy career! It also costthe country, my respect! I retired, and went to Mexico, with no intention of ever returning, under any circumstanses, but when one has kids to feed, all things will change. That is the only reason I returned.
I weote up a Request for "Redress of wrong", and have sat on it for nearly 50 years. I may send it in, bedfore I cash in my chips. It will do no good, but it would be nice to have JAG look it over, and comment.
I'm sure they would agree that I was "right", even though the "time" was wrong.
This has cost me hundreds of nights sleep.
I hve no idea of how many nights I have awakened in the dead of night, and had to get up, and find something to do, to keep from disturbing my wife's sleep.
How many of us have paid a heavy price for the DST???

It always seemed like a silly thing to change the time. Why not just pick one that works and stick with it?

My point exactly!
What can be more clear, and simple as well, as to tell the ones who have to go to work early, ( to take adveantage of the daylight hours), to set the ALARM an hour earlier, and go to work an hour earlier, by just telling them to come to work at 7 AM, instead of 8 AM? Why does the whole country have to do what a few need to do?

Dick, I would have to agree with you. There's still the same amount of daylight no matter how much smoke and mirrors the government puts up. It's too bad you've had to pay such a heavy price for something as stupid as the time change.
