Hi everyone, haven't posted in a while but I found something weird today. I was sorting my brothers change and out pops a standard sized quarter coin with nothing on either side and a standard reeded edge. The weird catch is that its totally copper in color. Anyone know what this might be? Also, as a side note, as I used to remember, this site used to be very active with new postings an findings almost every couple of days. It seems a little like a ghost town now. Am I doing something wrong? Did something happen? Who knows! Well maybe one of you experts can help on this one. Ill tey to get a pic up ASAP.

Thanks,
Mark

Can't really say what you have.Maybe the outer layers were chemically removed like in a science project or could be an actual clad layer missing coin. All the traffic has moved to here http://www.lincolncentresource.com/ and you could post it there for some possible answers.See here for the details http://www.coppercoins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5967.

I thinking it was sanded to remove the devices. It has the reeding on it and it looks thinner than a normal quarter. Still probably spendable in a machine.
