Hello Everyone,
Would like your opinions on this one. Doubling on IGWT and LIB of Liberty. Thanks very much.

That's machine doubling. It's flattened, has no notching, and 'looks' like a part of the primary lettering that has just been mashed down. All tell tale signs of machine doubling.

I was a bit perplexed. Although there is no notching, the lettering is not flat like I have seen on other machine doubled coins. In fact, it is actually rounded, which is why I questioned it. Thanks for taking a look, Chuck.

That's my take..... the lettering is not flat like as seen on other machine doubled coins. Infact the doubling on "Liberty" sure looks like Die Doulbling. I'm on the fence on this one.
Find another if possible.

The real negative to it being a doubled die is the doubling of the rim above the motto...... that adds to it being machine doubling.

Factually there is no 'on the fence' - it either definitely is, or it definitely is not. And there is no way this is hub doubling. Everything in all of those images very clearly screams machine doubling - and classic machine doubling at that.
