Well, it looks like the old saying, (Only the good die young", has proven to be true! We are still here! Nothing has changed, except the date. SNAFU all over again!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone, (no matter when you happen to read this)!
Dick

Hi Ed!
It's been a long time! How are you doing?
I am still "blind in one eye, and can't seeo ut the other," bnut I'll get by, (as long as I still have the equipment the VA gave me to see, and read with.
The "Doomsday prophets have been doing that ever since they were born, and still haven't learned that the workld ends, when they die.
The destruction of the world as we know it will be another thing! We have little, or no control over that. We can make it un-inhabitable for several hundred million years, but destroy it? Not likely. I have ofrth wondered how many
"civilizations" have been on this "ball of mud", in the billions of years it has been around?
I wonder how many "lurkers' from the 'good old days" are still around, checking in to see if anyone is around? I cgeck iy pretty regularily, and pften see posts, wondering where everyomne is?
I don't think it would take much to get a bunch of the "regulars", back, posting, and commenting, again. The forum has been a good home to many of us, and it still is letting us 'chat'
Merry Christmat to you, and your family! Enjoy it! It will take a year to happen, again!
Dick,

Hey Dick,
Good to see you're still visiting.
There's always the next doomsday for the media.
The fiscal cliff is the next one.
Let's all just celebrate making it to 2013
I haven't been searching as many coins this year, only what I get as change or find in parking lots. I guess the reduction has kept my finds pretty dry. I hope to get around to searching more next year.
Have a great 2013!!!!

Ed, this is the second time I am going to try to reply! I don't know what key does it, but I am going to remove all the keys from the keyboard, until i find the one that screws up the whole thing! I start a reply, and it goes to full screen, or it just goes away, period!
It is hard enough to just type it, and clear the typos, but when the whole page just goes away, then it is frustrating.
Anyway, I was telling you about the last year, or so that we have been building an on line web site, Vickycents.com, for the 1859 Canadian Large cents. It has been a year, now, and it is working well. The plan is ti continue the dates 1895-1901, to cover all of the
Queen Victorian Era, Both here on line, ans in the books and other publications by members of the CCC forum, and others as well. There has been extensive work done there, the last year ans a half. I have 622 coins on loan to the site to help with images, etc, and will send another 600+ after the ones on loan are back. There are still a lot of blank images, (due to lack of material to use).
I have gone into die research in that date, and it is fascinating work! It is much like the work on the FE/IHC cents.
looks like 2013 will hold a lot of work ahead for me, but it sure beats an old rocking chair, just sitting, waiting to finally die!
There is just too much to be done to do that!.
I wish you a very prosperous, interesting, and satisfying year ahead!

How many die marriages did they use for one year?
Must be a lot to keep you busy!
I'll check out the website.
Have a great 2013 Dick!
