Well, Chuck said we can put weather stuff here, so>>>>>News Flash....
The Northwest Florida Coast had rain again for the 14th day in a row. Surprisingly, The place I work didn't have any! That gives me 8 hours of work this week already....greatly surpassing the 4 hours I had TOTAL last week. Just think, at least 6 more hours tomorrow, and I can surpass the 14 hours I had the week before last. It's a good thing I love coins so much. All that extra time on my hands ensbled me to look at lots-o-coins. A couple nice finds too. I will be posting pics soon.

I moved it because it was a different subject....but yes, this is the right forum for this. Now...quit hogging all the rain and send some to me, eh? We've had about an inch in three weeks, and it all fell on the same day. No help.

Florida rain in the summer. One of the nicest parts is after the rain is over and you walk out into a super-saturated steam bath. You can actually watch the vapor rise off the roadways.

I was in a sun shower there once. Bright sunshine overhead but raining at the same time.
The rain was warm. Not cool as usual. Very strange.
(and no, no one was playing a practical joke on me. It really was raining warm water)

I don't even want to be a contender in that category Rich! I spent a couple of years in the beautiful state of Washington (Fairchild AFB), but the weather wasn't one of the state's strongest suits. I live in Florida because I like the warmer temps (down right HOT I guess I should say) and the beaches here. So, when you get 14 consecutive days of rain, and you work primarily outside, it's a bummer to say the least. So, please keep your record in tact, and up there in Washiungton (if you don't mind)

Heck, if that's all they have to complain about they should feel lucky! LOL!
We've not had a decent amount of measurable rain here in nearly two months, and today's high was over 95. The heat is on and the grass is brown. I'm dunking about 2 liters of water a day, and long for the cooler weather that will eventually make it here in September.

Okay, I have to put in my comments on all this rain stuff. We are the opposite of the washington record last year. we went for over 100 days without rain. less than 4" all year long. and the worst part is thats almost half our normal rainfall and in a desert things get pretty tight on the water when you are even 1" below normal. This year is better than last. In the first few months we passed the entire last years rainfall. too bad it stopped after than. BTW, monsoons are coming!! If you want to see something interesting try a 100' high wall of dust rolling at you.

I'm in the HUGE metropolis of Rainbow Valley. For those of you who don't know (and thats everyone probably) it's about 8 miles SE of Buckeye AZ at the base of the Estrella Mts. I don't even think there is an official census for the area yet. According to Mapquest.com I am 145 miles from Catalina and 2 hrs, 45 minutes driving time.

See all the neat things we are learning here? I now know where many places are in Arizona and Washington and the like. I also know about some various weather records. Not bad for putting a little blurb about how wet it's been here this year. However, since Chuck is complaining about his lack of rain so far this year, I would like every one to sen him up an inch or two. NOT ALL AT ONCE THOUGH!!
When I go up there in a week and a half, I will bring some too. Anyone else have specific weather requests? I will be taking orders through the end of the month.

I'd like to give you about 25 degrees (F). Actually, I'd like to loan you the 25 degrees until about December/January.
OK with you?

I really appreciate the offer Robert, but I am having to deal with those degrees here too. I have heard that you guys have really been heating up over the past few days. Well, stay safe above all else. That sort of heat can be a killer.
