I thought I had seen the worst....... but I hadn't. I found an ugly orange rind (improper rinse during plating) 1994-D Cent that I thought would be the worst looking BU Cent.

Not finding much lately. I opened a couple of Bank rolled cents and found 100 CENTs. Nothing to brag about. One roll had so many spots they all went into rolls to spend. Oh well. I did find a nice 1964-D DDR that was 1964D-1DR-002 in this bunch of circulated cents, but that was all to report on out of a 44 oz. cup full. Not much left to pick over here. But I will keep looking. Look and learn........

Those are pretty UGLY coins ya got there coop. I have seen plenty also, and 1983 and 84 seem to be the worst.
I too have been in a drought recently as far as finding stuff. Usually, I have these ruts about once or twice a year, but one good find makes you forget all about it.
As far as that die chip on the 84D....I have seen that before. As a matter of fact, you will also find the same type of chip on some 1960D cents. I can't explain that one either.
Oh well...I'll do as you are doing and keep on searching. Maybe tonight's the night!

Did someone say an ugly 84 ???

I have a handful of 83's that look the same also. I agree 83 and 84 were bad years.

Here is an altered coin that someone decided it needed an acid bath. Sorry images are a little dark, but who wants to see IT in the light?? Smile
So UGLY I removed the image. Looked like a mother-in-law reject image..... LOL You know the one sitting on the night stand....
Found several of these through the years. Some disolved away to a slug and others not quite as much. Usually you can tell as they are thinner than a dime and the edges are sharp where the rim should be.
