I assume this is "good doubling". My photos don't do it justice. Only one of them was able to capture the doubling as I can see it. The other photos are kinda indistinct. All the E's, T's and many of the other letters everywhere are doubled. ...look at the "E" in this photo:

Look to the extreme left of this photo at the tip of the "T" in "CENT" and you can see what doesn't show up in the other photos:

I'm not seeing anything that looks like hub doubling in the photos provided. Sorry.

Murphy ... you take some very nice pictures there. Cool

Keep looking ... we all (for most part) are on a learning curver here, don't feel bad.

Again, some very nice pictures.

Thanks Pennyhound. Hope you like these new pics.

Here's some better photos of the 1959-D. It may be a different coin, since I have over a roll of them with this doubling. I first took a pic of the "E" in CENT then rotated the coin 180 degrees and took shots of that lettering. It seems to be the same degree and look of doubling there as well:

That doubling has something to do with the design. I've seen it hundreds of times on early memorials. It is not hub doubling, it's simply a dip in the design on the lettering.
