So searching some 1995 cents...came across a few that were odd. Almost appears as slight strike doubling on the nose, but the real doubling is on W"E" "TR"UST and the 1 in the date. Maybe its just way too late and the light isn't right or something, but I know I can see the doubling on the letters. Too minor to even say boo at? Thanks all~~

Hi Tabb,

That's a form of die deterioration doubling found mainly on the 1990s decade Lincolns.

If you notice the background around the upper half of "WE" and between/around the other letters, there are tiny vertical or north-south lines running towards the edge. These are flow lines and they're a tell-tale sign of a die wear. These flow lines are accumulated/fomed on the die over time as the metal from thousands of coin strikes has flowed over the die face at that area. The die strike squeezes and stretches the metal in the planchets and that flowing motion erodes the die. This is an indicator of late die state (LDS),as is die deterioration doubling.

Chuck, could you expand on this a bit?

The doubling on Abe's face appears to me to be strike doubling.
