Bob & All,
Seems 1994 is a pretty good year for DDR's.
Bob or Chuck -- come across one like this? It's weird in that the notching and separation lines are fairly prominent on the inner design elements north of the Memorial columns. I think there is possibly some light doubling on the "FG" designer's initials -- however, there is no doubling that I can see anywhere else on the reverse lettering or design.
Could there be some kind of correlation with your 1998 cent Bob???
Regards,
Billy

There doesn't seem to be any doubt about your coin there Billy. I can see a little correlation between that one and the 98D and 99D I have found recently, with the difference being that I can find NO other doubling on mine except for the tops of the columns. The 99D does seem to have doubling on the outsides of the columns as well, but I have come to the colnclusion that I have looked at these two for too long, and now it's time to send them on and get another opinion.
While searching through a small stack of 94s a while ago, I did come accross one that looks very similar to yours. However, the surface of the coin is pretty pimply and hard to examine. I will continue looking for others, but this coin of yours does look familiar to me.
