Obverse
Concentric die gouges show near the rim all the way around the design. Of special note is one die scratch that drops inward from the rim and runs through GOD. E-W die scratches show inside the ear. A heavy die gouge protrudes downward from the bottom of the L of LIBERTY. The date and mintmark are shown for verification of mintmark position. Obverse is MDS.
Reverse
A short die gouge shows as a bump to the left of the second U of PLURIBUS. Some signs of concentric die scratches show in the motto. E-W die scratches show in the center of the design.
