Die scratches run N-S in front of the face, through the date, and through LIBERTY.

Die clash marks show in the left half of the memorial building. Die scratches show in the upper right area of the memorial building. Old worn E-W die scratches show through ONE CENT. Reverse is LDS.

A wide spread to the south shows on this variety. The mintmark weakens with die state. This die is also listed as 1970D-1DO-005.
