A medium spread on 194 of date and the ER of LIBERTY. This variety shows a blunt top 4 over pointed top 4 in date. This die is very similar in appearance to 1949S-1DO-003, except that the mintmark on this die sits slightly higher than on 1949S-1DO-003.

A medium spread on the 194 of date. This variety shows a blunt top 4 over pointed top 4 in date. This die also exhibits a repunched mintmark identified as 1949S-1MM-013. This die is known to be difficult to obtain, especially in mint state grades.

A 1949 “Blunt 4” date is hubbed over a 1948 “Pointed 4” date. Doubling shows on the 194. This die is very similar to 1949S-1DO-001 except for two main points. The doubling of the 19 of the date are less prevalent and the mintmark is in a slightly different position. On this die the mintmark sits slightly lower and to the east of 1949S-1DO-001.
