Obverse
A die break and crack runs west from the tail of the 9 in the date. A die break shows on the upper right side of the 1 of the date. Old heavy SW-NE die scratches show throughout the date and mintmark area. Die cracks show on the head in the hair and the forehead.
Reverse
Die scratches run through the area of UNITED and OF Am. A die scratch runs south from the right side of the crossbar on the T in CENT. Reverse is LDS.
