1960 large date obverse (ODT15)

Second design for 1960 - the Large date.

Widely considered the 1960 Large date design, yet this is the master design that lasted most of the way through the 1960s. Changed early in the year 1960, this new hub had flat-top chiseled letterinhg that was larger than the previous type and handled the stress of minting coins better than the smaller letters had.
