Respect and on-topic discussion
- Discuss Lincoln cents, die varieties, mint errors, attribution, grading, collecting, and CopperCoins site topics.
- Disagree without personal attacks, harassment, or bullying.
- Off-topic chatter, politics, religion, and unrelated drama do not belong here.
- Forum posts are member opinions — they do not change official catalog die numbers or descriptions.
Spam, commerce, and misinformation
- No spam, scams, or repeated junk posts.
- No unstructured “for sale” listings in general categories. When the member marketplace launches, you may link listings from appropriate threads.
- Do not post misleading attribution claims presented as official catalog fact.
Default posting limits (automatic)
These limits apply to all members and help prevent abuse. Staff are exempt from daily caps.
- Burst limit: 3 posts per minute.
- Daily posts: 30 per member per day.
- Images per post: 3.
- Daily image uploads: 10 per member per day.
- Image size: up to 5 MB each (JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF).
- Attachment retention: image files are removed after 30 days.
Guests may read but cannot post. If membership billing is active, lapsed subscribers may read but not post until they resubscribe.
Privacy and images
- Upload only images you have the right to share.
- Do not post others’ personal information without permission.
- Attachments are stored securely and require sign-in to download.
Moderation and reports
- Staff (
admin/ owner) may lock, hide, or remove threads and posts that violate these rules. - Members may Report to staff with a preset reason and optional note.
- Accounts that break the rules may lose posting access or be banned site-wide.
Formatting
Posts use safe BBCode (Bulletin Board Code) only: [b], [i], [u], [url], and line breaks. Raw HTML is not allowed.
