Small date zinc cent. Very strong doubling shows on all reverse devices. Some of the outer edges of the design show little or no doubling due to the conical shape of the die at the time of hubbing. As of December 2012, there have been only four examples reported that we know of. Values may change as more examples are reported and/or pieces sell. ADDITIONAL NOTE: A coin supplied by die variety expert Billy Crawford shows that the obverse die for this coin has been paired with a different reverse die. This may explain the rarity of this doubled die as it may have been caught early in the production run and the reverse die subsequently replaced.
Large Date Copper. An elongated split lower serif shows on this variety. Earlier and finer examples will show a light separation line on the outside curve of the mintmark.
Large Date Copper. Splits show on the upper and lower serif on this variety. NOTE: Many RPMs for 1982D look similar. Mint mark placement is a determining factor when attributing your coins.
Large Date Copper. Another variety that shows minor split on both serifs. NOTE: Many RPMs for 1982D look similar. Mint mark placement is a determining factor when attributing your coins.
