An extreme spread to the north shows on all devices. This die is in the top five of all Lincoln cent doubled die reverses. Because of planchet plating problems experienced this year, high grade specimens are becoming exceedingly rare. Old CPG #036

Obverse: Die scratches run NE from the nose and mouth. N-S die scratches show in front of the forehead. NE-SW die scratches show behind the head and through the ERTY of LIBERTY. Obverse is MDS.

Reverse: Old N-S die scratches show on the upper half of the reverse. Very light E-W die scratches show in the motto.
