This ‘Wavy Step’ die has been determined NOT to be a doubled die, but a design extension anomaly. These dies are now listed at www.traildies.com. This die also exhibits minor 'trails'

Obverse: A die crack from the eyebrow, north onto the forehead. Obverse is MDS.
Reverse: Trails run SSW from the STA of STATES and the EP of the motto. Light N-S die scratches show in the bays of the memorial.
