A strong extra eyelid shows wide to the south on this variety. This die also exhibits a repunched mintmark identified as 1927D-1MM-001.

Obverse: Light die scratches run SW-NE around the TY of LIBERTY. Concentric die scratches show on the coat and lapel. A die scratch runs southwest from the lower tip of the 9 of the date.
Reverse: Light E-W die scratches show in various spots (photographed) in OF AMERICA. Reverse is MDS.
