Obverse: Light N-S die scratches show in front of the forehead and in the hair above the forehead. Note that the mintmark is partially filled in on the coin examined and photographed here, but this may not be the case on other examples of this die. Date and mintmark are shown for proper mintmark placement. Obverse is EMDS.

Reverse: Light N-S die scratches show in most areas of the reverse. Of note is a particularly strong die scratch that runs from the upper right N of UNITED to the bottom right of the C of CENT.
