Obverse: Concentric die gouges show near the rim all the way around the design. Of special note is one die scratch that drops inward from the rim and runs through GOD. E-W die scratches show inside the ear. A heavy die gouge protrudes downward from the bottom of the L of LIBERTY. The date and mintmark are shown for verification of mintmark position. Obverse is MDS.

Reverse: A short die gouge shows as a bump to the left of the second U of PLURIBUS. Some signs of concentric die scratches show in the motto. E-W die scratches show in the center of the design.
