Light extra thickness shows on the LIB of LIBERTY and the motto. The date shows very mild extra thickness as well, but is difficult to detect by itself. Use the motto and LIBERTY to find this die.

Obverse: Light NW-SE die scratches show beneath the chin and in front of the vest to the date and mintmark. Light NE-SW die scratches show in LIBERTY. Other die scratches show in the motto area. A heavy die scratch runs E-W in the eye area.

Reverse: A very heavy die gouge shows as a diagonal line in the lower section of the E of CENT. A die scratch runs fron the lower left corner of the E of CENT through the I of UNITED. Other related die scratches show in STATES. E-W die scratches show in the ERI of AMERICA.
