A very nice tilted spread shows on this repunched mintmark. The secondary mintmark becomes weaker with die progression. This die also shows a doubled eyelid that is identified as 1927D-1DO-001. Old# 013.51

Obverse: Light die scratches run SW-NE around the TY of LIBERTY. Concentric die scratches show on the coat and lapel. A die scratch runs southwest from the lower tip of the 9 of the date.

Reverse: Light E-W die scratches show in various spots (photographed) in OF AMERICA. Reverse is MDS.
