This variety shows as closely split serifs. This die is very similar to 1935D-1MM-001, with the difference being the mintmark position is centered between the 9 and the 3 of the date.

Obverse: A short die scratch runs south from the bottom of the Y in LIBERTY. Many die gouges between the bust and the rim to the east of VDB.

Reverse: A long, thin die scratch runs NW-SE from the first U in PLURIBUS. Another long, thin die scratch runs south from the the botom of the second U in UNUM. Reverse is MDS.
