D/S North
Arguably the most famous of known over mintmark varieties in the Lincoln cent series. This one shows a moderately punched entire upper curve of an S extending due north from the primary mintmark. A smaller portion of the S mintmark can also be seen inside the upper portion of the D. Old CPG #020

This variety shows the central area of an S to the east and west of the vertical bar in the primary mintmark. It carries a substantially lower value than 1944D-1OM-001 because the S punching is much less obvious. Old CPG #021
