This proof reverse die shows signs of the later 1909 reverse hubbed over the earlier 1909 reverse. Especially visible in UNITED STATES. It is known to be the result of doubling on a master die, but turns out to be among the earliest examples known, showing the finest markers available. Very rare, with fewer than 200 examples estimated to have been minted.

A 1949 “Blunt 4” date is hubbed over a 1948 “Pointed 4” date. Doubling shows on the 194. This die is very similar to 1949S-1DO-001 except for two main points. The doubling of the 19 of the date are less prevalent and the mintmark is in a slightly different position. On this die the mintmark sits slightly lower and to the east of 1949S-1DO-001.
