Die Notes
Sans serif mintmark. A well defined extra upper curve spread closely to the north shows on this variety. This is one of two repunched mintmarks for this date that appear to be sans-serif type mintmark over a serif type mintmark. The other similar listing is 1947S-1MM-007.

Obverse: A heavy die dot shows to the west of the bottom of the mint mark. A heavy concentric die scratch (lathe mark) shows running most of the way around the edge of the design very close to the rim. N-S die scratches show all over the obverse.
Reverse: A die dot shows just above the right side of the right wheat tip between the wheat and the M in UNUM. Reverse is MDS.
